Cody Thompson popped into Central Arizona Raceway (Casa Grande, Ariz.) on Saturday night for an IMCA Modified event.
Thirty-five competitors were on hand for the event, and while Cody advanced from eighth-to-fifth in his heat race, the performance wasn’t good enough to lock him into the feature.
Starting from the pole position he won his B-Main to lock into the 17th-start spot for the feature. Thompson claimed 13 spots in the 25 lapper to cross the finish line in fourth behind Ricky Thornton Jr., Jeremy Thornton, and Zachary Madrid.
